1980
In the late 1980s, most of the packaging companies were set in their ways and they were very much self-opinionated. The focus of them had been more towards the bottom line. Most of them have trimmed down their value & the services to their customers.They asked for extended lead times for order executions, charged exorbitantly high prices & no credit facilities, no delivery services & no after sales services given to their customers.
At that point in time, Apparel SPA, which was into high-end branded fashion-wear manufacturing too had been living through this graceless state of affairs. This resentful experience urged Anurath Abeyratne, the founder of Apparel SPA to get into the packaging business, as he practically wanted to set new standards in the industry & offer customers a superior service level.

This was a big spark that ignited and revolutionized the entire packaging industry. The KSPA Packaging has marked a glorious turning point having reinvented & re-established much-needed standards and remains today as the greatest source of strength and inspiration in the industry, in terms of excellent customer service, product quality, innovations & greater flexibility. KSPA Packaging today has proliferated into a thriving business & the success of the business is literary worth Billions of Rupees.
